Die Guidelines
While we can create any emblem you wish to cast, there are still some regulations and guidelines ordering your custom-made die.
We require simple camera-ready black and white artwork. You can either send a hard copy of the art by mail or you may send us an electronic copy via email to customerservice@hotstampsupply.com. We ONLY accept .AI, .EPS, .PDF and .SVG file formats. Please remember your image must be all black and white line art. No greyscale, faxed copies or scanned art.
By Mail: If you choose to mail your artwork to us, please send to 141-2 Marcel Dr. Winchester, VA 22602.
By Email: If you choose to email your artwork, please note that the higher quality your source image is the higher quality the die will be. For this reason we would prefer vector formatted files. Microsoft Word files do not meet the minimum requirements for artwork dies, although some straight lettering and text is OK. Photoshop files must be at least 300 dpi. We cannot accept images in greyscale, RGB, CMYK, or Indexed color modes as they create a rasterized (pixelated, rough) edge when printed.
Holder Styles
We have two styles of holders: Die Holders and Open Chase Holders. Die Holders take Flat Plate dies only while Open Chase holders take Type High Dies only. In order to make sure your order is made for your machines and holder, please let us know which style and size holder you are using. Customers with the Book Master model machines always order Type High Dies.
